Don't expect to get hand dressed frets with a $300 guitar. But with a lot of time and effort, you can make this an excellent guitar.
Remove the strings
Tape the pickups with Painters Tape
Bag the body
Level with a radius block to be sure all frets are level.
Tape the fingerboard and sides
Using 0000 Steel Wool, polish each fret
Using compressed air, remove all the steel wool dust
These were so rough, I also did a run of 600 grit emery paper and then steel wool again
Polish the frets with a Dremel and small buffing wheels. I used two grades of jewelers rouge to polish. (don't polish a single fret too long, as it will heat and maybe loosen the frets).
Remove all the tape. I also treated the fingerboard with Stewart MacDonald's Fretboard Finishing Oil (Click Here)
String it up and play! The bends are smooth as silk now. No fret buzz and all fret ends are dressed.
